Discover Quail Ridge Park

Quail Ridge Park covers about 250 acres of land. A farmer named Henry L. Stealey helped create the park. He gave and sold the land to St. Charles County in 1998. Experts from the American Society of Landscape Architects helped plan how the park would look. The park officially opened its doors in the year 2000.

Fun Things to Do at the Park

Quail Ridge Park has many cool features for visitors.

  • There's a three-acre lake perfect for fishing.
  • You can explore seven miles of trails, some paved and some natural. These are great for walking, running, or biking.
  • The park also has a large building called Quail Ridge Lodge. It's 4,440 square feet and people often rent it for special events like weddings.

A Special Place for Dogs

In 2003, Quail Ridge Park opened a special area just for dogs. This 2.5-acre dog park was the very first off-leash dog park in St. Charles County. It's a safe and fun place where dogs can run and play freely.

Horseshoe Fun and History

Quail Ridge Park is home to the Quail Ridge Horseshoe Club. It also hosts the National Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame and Museum. This museum moved to the park in 2006 from its old home in Joelton, Tennessee.

The Hall of Fame and Museum teaches visitors about the history of horseshoe pitching. It has many exhibits to explore. The park also has 32 courts for playing horseshoes, both indoors and outdoors. This makes it a major spot for horseshoe enthusiasts!
