Quebec is a small, unincorporated community in Sweet Grass County, Montana, United States. An unincorporated community is a place that does not have its own local government. Quebec is found along Interstate 90. It is located southeast of the town of Big Timber.

The Story of Quebec

Quebec was once a busy place. It was mainly a farming community. It also served as an important stop for trains. These trains were on their way to Big Timber.

In its early days, Quebec had a general store. This store sold many different goods. There was also a blacksmith shop. A blacksmith made and repaired things out of metal. These businesses helped the community thrive.

Over time, Quebec began to change. The train depot eventually closed down. This meant trains no longer stopped there. As a result, the community slowly declined. Today, there are no buildings left standing. Only a few dirt roads remain. However, a railroad sign still marks the spot. It reminds everyone that Quebec was once a lively train stop.
