Joaquim Monzó i Gómez (born March 15, 1952), known as Quim Monzó, is a Spanish writer. He writes novels, short stories, and essays, mostly in the Catalan language.

In the early 1970s, Monzó worked as a journalist. He traveled to different countries, reporting on important events for a newspaper in Barcelona. He was also part of a group of Catalan writers called Ofèlia Dracs. Today, he lives in Barcelona and writes regularly for the newspaper La Vanguardia.

His stories often use humor and ideas from popular culture. His other writings are also funny and engaging. One of his essay collections, Catorze ciutats comptant-hi Brooklyn, shares his experiences in New York City. He also helped write the script for the movie Jamón, jamón with Cuca Canals. He wrote a play called El tango de Don Joan with Jérôme Savary.

In 2007, he gave a special speech at the Frankfurt Book Fair, a big event for books. Catalan culture was the main focus that year. Monzó made his speech unique by writing it like a short story, which was very different from a usual formal speech. From December 2009 to April 2010, there was a large exhibition about his life and work in Barcelona. It was called Monzó.
