Río Pico is a small town in the Chubut Province of Argentina. It is located in the Tehuelches Department.
The town got its name from an engineer named Octavio Pico Burgess. He was important because he helped solve a disagreement about the border between Argentina and Chile.
People Living in Río Pico
In 2001, about 1,055 people lived in Río Pico. This was a bit more than the 948 people who lived there in 1991. The number of people grew by about 11.3% in ten years.
Weather and Climate
Río Pico has a type of weather called a cold-summer Mediterranean climate. This is also known as a Köppen Csc climate. It means the summers are cool, and the winters are mild and wet.
