The Story of Rachal
Rachal was started in 1913. It got its name from E.R. Rachal. He was the very first tax assessor for Brooks County.
When Rachal was first established, it was quite small.

- By 1945, the population had reached 40 people.

Rachal is located in a handy spot. It's found near where two main roads meet. These roads are U.S. Highway 281 and FM 755. Rachal is about 21 miles (34 km) south of a town called Falfurrias.
