Playing Career

Early Days in Tunisia

Radhi Jaïdi started his football journey in Tunisia. He played for Espérance de Tunis for many years. During his time there, he achieved something amazing. He was the only player at that time to win all four of Africa's main club cup competitions with Espérance. This showed how successful he was in African football.

Playing in England

In July 2004, Radhi Jaïdi moved to England. He joined Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer. This was a big moment because he became the first Tunisian player to play in the Premier League, England's top football league.

After two years with Bolton, he moved to Birmingham City in 2006. He played for Birmingham City for three years. He was a strong defender for them.

Time at Southampton

In August 2009, Radhi Jaïdi joined Southampton. At first, there were some questions about his work permit, but he eventually signed a two-year contract. He made his debut for Southampton in September 2009.

He scored his first goal for Southampton in a match against Carlisle United. It was a very late goal that helped his team get a draw. Radhi retired from playing football at the end of the 2011–12 season. Even after retiring, he stayed with Southampton in a role to help develop international players.

International Football

Radhi Jaïdi was also a very important player for the Tunisia national team. He played in many big tournaments. He was part of the team that won the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations. This is a huge competition for African countries.
