Rafael Lucio is a small area in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. It is called a municipality, which is like a local government area. It is located in a mountainous central part of Veracruz.
This municipality is about 9 kilometers (about 5.6 miles) away from Xalapa, which is the capital city of Veracruz. Rafael Lucio covers an area of about 24.68 square kilometers (about 9.5 square miles). The area was officially named Rafael Lucio on November 5, 1932. It was named after a famous doctor from Xalapa.
