Rafael Reavis (born July 27, 1977) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player. He plays for the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Playing Career Highlights

Rafael Reavis started his basketball journey in the year 2000. He first played for the San Juan Knights team. This was in a league called the Metropolitan Basketball Association.

Joining the PBA League

In 2002, the Metropolitan Basketball Association stopped operating. Rafi Reavis then decided to join the PBA. He entered the 2002 PBA draft and was chosen as the second player overall. The Coca-Cola Tigers team picked him.

Team Changes and Trades

Rafi played well during his time with the Tigers. Later, he was part of some player trades between teams. These trades involved several other players. One trade saw him move to Barangay Ginebra Kings. He then joined the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots team, where he still plays today.

Rafael Reavis was born on July 27, 1977, in New York City. His father, Joselito Abundo, was born in Koronadal, South Cotabato, Philippines. Joselito moved to the US when he was 17. There, he was adopted by the Reavis family.

Family Background

Rafi's father met his mother, Laura Missouri, in New York City. After some time, they separated. Rafi then lived with his mother in Florida. His mother later married and became Laura Fields. Sadly, Rafi's father passed away in 1999.
