Rafi Reavis: A Basketball Star
Rafi Reavis started his basketball journey in 2000. He first played for the San Juan Knights team. This team was in the Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA).
Joining the PBA
The MBA league stopped playing in 2002. Rafi then decided to join the 2002 PBA draft. He was chosen as the second player overall. The Coca-Cola Tigers picked him.
Rafi played very well for the Tigers. Later, he was part of a big trade in PBA history. This trade involved several other players. These players included Rudy Hatfield and Billy Mamaril.
Moving Teams
Rafi Reavis was traded again in 2009. He moved from Barangay Ginebra Kings to Purefoods. This team is now known as the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots. He has been with this team since 2009.
Career Achievements
Rafi Reavis has won many championships. He has been a PBA champion 11 times. His first championship was in 2002. His most recent one was in 2018.
He has also been chosen for the PBA All-Star team three times. This happened in 2006, 2017, and 2018. In 2003, he was named the PBA Most Improved Player. He also made the PBA All-Defensive Team in 2017. Before joining the PBA, he won the MBA National Championship in 2000.

Rafi Reavis was born in New York City. His full name is Rafael Pangilinan Reavis. His father, Joselito Abundo, was born in Koronadal, South Cotabato. Joselito moved to the US when he was 17. He was adopted by the Reavis family.
Rafi's father met his mother, Laura Missouri, in New York City. They later separated. Rafi then lived with his mother in Florida. His mother later married and became Laura Fields. Rafi's father passed away in 1999.
Rafi can understand and speak a little Tagalog. However, he usually prefers to speak English.
