Rajko Dujmić (born August 7, 1954 – died August 4, 2020) was a very talented Croatian musician. He was a songwriter, composer, and music producer. Many people knew him best as a member of the popular pop group called Novi fosili.
Rajko Dujmić created the winning song for the Eurovision Song Contest 1989. This song was called "Rock Me" and was performed by the group Riva. He wrote it with Stevo Cvikić. Before that, they also wrote two other songs for Yugoslavia in the Eurovision contest. These were "Ja sam za ples", sung by Novi fosili, and "Mangup", sung by Srebrna Krila.
In 2013, Rajko Dujmić received a special honor. He got the Porin award for his amazing work in music throughout his life. This is one of the highest music awards in Croatia.
His Life and Family
Rajko Dujmić married his wife, Snježana, on December 2, 1990. He also had a son named Tin from an earlier time in his life.
Sadly, Rajko Dujmić passed away on August 4, 2020, when he was 65 years old. He died in Rijeka, Croatia, after being involved in an event a few days earlier.
