Ralph de Cromwell, 1st Baron Cromwell (died August 27, 1398) was an important English noble from Tattershall in Lincolnshire. He was called to join the House of Lords as Lord Cromwell in 1375. This meant he became a powerful person in the government, helping to make laws and advise the king. He was the first person to hold the title of Baron Cromwell in this particular family line.

Lord Cromwell passed away in August 1398. His son, Ralph, took over his title and responsibilities. Later, his grandson, the 3rd Baron Cromwell, held very important jobs in the government during the time of King Henry VI. These jobs included being a Lord Privy Councillor, the Treasurer of England (who managed the country's money), and the Chamberlain of the Household (who managed the royal household).

Ralph de Cromwell married a woman named Maud. She was born in 1337. Maud was the daughter of John Bernack and Joan. Together, Ralph and Maud had several children:
