Ramiro Peña Gauna (born 18 July 1985) is a professional baseball player from Mexico. He is an infielder, which means he plays positions like second base, shortstop, or third base. Currently, he plays for the Sultanes de Monterrey in the Mexican League. He also plays for the Venados de Mazatlán during the winter season.
Ramiro Peña has played for several famous teams. These include the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, and San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball (MLB). He also played for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). One of his biggest achievements was winning the World Series with the New York Yankees in 2009!

Starting with the New York Yankees
Ramiro Peña began his professional journey when the New York Yankees signed him in 2005. He played for their minor league teams, like the Tampa Yankees and Trenton Thunder. He even got picked for the 2008 All-Star Futures Game, which features rising stars.
In 2009, Peña made it to the Yankees' main team for Opening Day. This was a big deal! He was a "utility infielder," meaning he could play different positions.
First Moments in MLB
- On 6 April 2009, he made his first appearance in a major league game.
- Just three days later, on 9 April, he got his first major league hit.

Winning the World Series
