Rands is a very small, unincorporated community located in Calhoun County, Iowa, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place where people live, but it does not have its own local government. Instead, it is usually managed by the county.
History
The community of Rands was started in the year 1891. It has always been a very small place. In 1902, only 12 people lived there. By 1940, the number of people living in Rands had grown a little to 20. This shows it has always been a tiny community.
