Raoof Haghighi is an artist from Iran who also lives in Britain. He is famous for painting amazing portraits (pictures of people) and for his realistic style, which means his paintings look very much like real life!
Raoof was born in 1976 in a city called Shiraz in Iran. His dad was also an artist, and that's how Raoof started learning to paint. He taught himself a lot of what he knows! Since 1995, his artwork has been shown in many art shows all over the world. You could see his paintings in Iran, the United Kingdom, the United States, and even places like the Czech Republic, Spain, and Ireland.
In April 2023, Raoof planned to show his special "surreal and hyperrealistic" portraits and drawings at an art show in London. He dedicated this show to "all the brave women" in Iran. Surreal art mixes real things with dream-like ideas, and hyperrealistic art looks even more real than a photograph!
