Ravi Belagere (born March 15, 1958 – died November 13, 2020) was an Indian writer and journalist. He lived in Bangalore, Karnataka. He was the editor of a Kannada-language newspaper called Hai Bangalore. He also edited a magazine named O Manase. Ravi Belagere started a publishing house called Bhavana Prakashana. He also founded Prarthana School and Bhavana Audio Reach.

About His Life
Early Years
Ravi Belagere was born on March 15, 1958. His birthplace was Sathyanarayanapete, in Bellary. His mother's name was Parvathamma. His father was also a writer.
He went to Siddhaganga High School in Tumkur. He studied there for a few years. Later, he earned a master's degree in history and archaeology. He got this degree from Veerashaiva College in Bellary.
Family Life
Ravi Belagere was married twice. His first wife was Lalitha. His second wife was Yashomati. She worked with him at the Hai Bangalore office.
He had three children with his first wife. Their names are Chethana Belagere, Bhavana Belagere, and Karna. With his second wife, Yashomati, he had a son named Himavanth. He was a big admirer of the writer Khushwant Singh. Ravi Belagere said he was interested in leftist ideas. He did not have strong political ties.
His Career
Ravi Belagere began his career as a history teacher. He taught history in Bellary, Hassan, and Hubli. In 1984, he moved to Bengaluru.
In Bengaluru, he started his own newspaper. It was called Hai Bangalore. He launched it on September 25, 1995. He worked with R. T. Vittalamurthy, Ra. Somanath, Jogi, and I. H. Sangam Dev. The newspaper was published from his office in Padmanabhanagar.
His newspaper had popular sections like Love Lavike and Bottom Item. These sections helped his paper become very popular. For five years, it was the most widely read newspaper. After this success, he started a magazine. It was called O Manase. This magazine focused on challenges faced by young people. Later, he created several TV shows. He also acted in some movies.

His Passing
