Red Cross is a small town located in Stanly County, North Carolina, in the United States. In 2010, about 742 people lived there. By 2020, the population had grown slightly to 762 residents.
History of Red Cross
Red Cross became an official town on August 1, 2002. This happened because many people were moving to areas around Charlotte, which is a larger city nearby.
The people who lived in Red Cross wanted to keep their town special. They hoped to protect its agricultural (farm-based) and rural (countryside) feel as much as possible, even as more people moved into the area.
