The Red Hat Amphitheater is a cool outdoor concert place in Raleigh, North Carolina. It's right next to the Raleigh Convention Center. This spot is perfect for enjoying live music and shows under the sky!
The City of Raleigh owns and runs the amphitheater. They work with a company called Live Nation to bring in all the exciting performers. You can usually catch shows here from April through October.
About the Amphitheater
The Red Hat Amphitheater can hold almost 6,000 people! There are 1,800 seats that are always there. Plus, 2,700 seats can be moved around depending on the show. There's also a big lawn area where 1,000 people can relax and enjoy the music.
How the Name Changed
The name of the amphitheater has changed a few times. When it first opened in 2010, it was called the Raleigh Amphitheater. Later, in 2012, a company called Red Hat made a deal with the City of Raleigh. Red Hat paid the city money so the venue could be named after their company. This is why it's now known as the Red Hat Amphitheater!
