Red espresso is a special kind of tea product from South Africa. It's made by a company called The Red Espresso Company Pty Ltd. In 2005, three people named Pete and Monique Ethelston, and Carl Pretorius, started the company. Carl came up with a clever idea: he found a way to make a shot of Rooibos tea using an espresso machine. This gave people a tasty drink that was like coffee but had no caffeine.

What is Red Espresso?
Red espresso is a unique tea product. It's made from Rooibos tea leaves, which grow naturally in South Africa. These leaves are ground very finely, so they can be used in coffee machines.
How is it Made?
Red espresso comes in different forms. You can find it as finely ground tea, or in small pods and capsules. You can use it with almost any coffee machine, like:
- Espresso machines
- Stovetop espresso makers
- Drip filter machines
- Nespresso machines
- French press
When you make red espresso, it looks and tastes a lot like coffee. It has a strong colour and flavour. It even has a foamy top, called a "crema," just like an espresso coffee.
Popular Red Espresso Drinks
You can use red espresso to make many different drinks. Some popular ones include:
- Red cappuccino: This is like a coffee cappuccino, but made with red espresso.
- Red latte: Similar to a coffee latte, but with the unique taste of red espresso.
- Fresh red iced tea: A cool and refreshing drink perfect for hot days.
