Redd, Missouri facts for kids
Redd is a small, unincorporated community located in Stoddard County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially part of a city or town. It doesn't have its own local government like a mayor or city council.
A Look at Redd's History
The community of Redd was named after a man known as Mr. Redd. He owned a sawmill in the area. A sawmill is a place where logs are cut into lumber, which is wood used for building.
For a short time, Redd even had its own post office. It was opened in 1913, but it closed down in the very same year.
