Reedsburg, Ohio facts for kids
Reedsburg is a small place in Wayne County, which is part of the U.S. state of Ohio. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or a village would. Instead, it's usually managed by the county government.
What is Reedsburg's History?
Reedsburg was started a long time ago, back in 1835. A person named William Reed was the one who planned out the community. He decided where the streets and lots would be, and the place was named Reedsburg in his honor.
Later, Reedsburg had its own post office. It opened in 1893, which was a big deal for people living there because it made sending and receiving mail much easier. However, the post office didn't stay open forever; it closed down in 1907.
