The next year, in 1996, he played 15 games for the Cowboys. He scored two tries and kicked 12 goals, adding up to 32 points. This made him the team's second-highest point scorer that season. In 1997, which was his last year with the Cowboys, he played 11 games and scored three tries.

After leaving the Cowboys, Reggie continued his rugby league journey in the Queensland Cup. This is a major competition in Queensland. He played for several teams, including the Townsville Stingers, Burleigh Bears, and Ipswich Jets. Between 1998 and 2006, he played a huge 143 games! During this time, he scored 89 tries and kicked 366 goals, which gave him an amazing total of 1,089 points.

Reggie was very successful in the Queensland Cup. He played in five Grand Finals, which are the championship games. He won two of these Grand Finals with the Burleigh Bears in 1999 and 2004. He even holds the record for the most points (964) and most tries (69) for the Burleigh Bears! In 2015, he was honored by being named in the QRL's Queensland Cup 20th Anniversary Team. This team celebrated the best players from the first 20 years of the competition.
