Reinhard Hauff (born 23 May 1939) is a German film director. He is also a screenwriter. His movies often explored important social and political topics. He made most of his films from the late 1960s to the early 1990s.
One of his most famous films is Stammheim. This movie won the top prize, the Golden Bear award, at the 36th Berlin International Film Festival in 1986. The film was about a famous court case in Germany. In 1987, Reinhard Hauff was part of the jury at the 37th Berlin International Film Festival. His 1970 film Mathias Kneissl was shown at the 7th Moscow International Film Festival.
