The Renault 12 Toros is a special version of the Renault 12 car that was made in Turkey. It was designed in 1989 and became available later that year. Its name comes from the Taurus Mountains in Turkey.

The Renault 12 Toros was known for its good grip on the road. This made it a useful car for many years. The Turkish National Police and Turkish Gendarmerie even used it as an official vehicle for a long time.

Production of the Renault 12 Toros stopped in 2000. This was because its engine produced too much pollution. It did not meet the newer rules for car emissions set by the European Union. Today, you might find a used Renault 12 Toros for sale in Turkey for about 4,000 to 13,000 Turkish Lira.
