Renold Vatubua Quinlan, born on July 7, 1989, is an Australian professional boxer. He has both Indigenous and Fijian family roots. Renold is well-known for his powerful knockout win against former world champion Daniel Geale. He held the IBO super-middleweight boxing title from 2016 to 2017.

Early Life and Family
Renold Quinlan grew up in the areas of Minto and Rosemeadow in Australia. He went to Sarah Redfern High School. Before becoming a professional, he had a good amateur boxing record, winning 12 out of 15 fights. Boxing runs in his family! His grandfather on his mother's side, Sailosi Vatubua, was also a boxer. Sailosi represented Fiji in amateur boxing and won a gold medal at the 1966 South Pacific Games.

Renold Quinlan started his professional boxing career in 2008. He took some breaks from fighting early on. He sometimes fought on the same events as his friend, famous boxer Anthony Mundine. Renold trains at Grant's Fitness Revolution, and his coach is Lepani Wilson.

After winning the IBO super-middleweight title, Renold Quinlan defended his belt on February 4, 2017. He fought against Chris Eubank Jr. in London, England. Renold lost his title in the tenth round when the referee stopped the fight.
Quinlan vs. Damien Hooper
On April 7, 2018, Renold Quinlan moved up to a heavier weight class called light heavyweight. He fought his long-time rival, Damien Hooper, for the WBO International light heavyweight title. Both Quinlan and Hooper were considered very talented Australian boxers. It was an exciting fight! Hooper started strong, but Renold knocked Hooper down twice in the fifth round. Hooper eventually won the fight in the ninth round.
