Restrepo, Valle del Cauca facts for kids
Restrepo is a town and a special area called a municipality in the Valle del Cauca Department of Colombia. It was started on December 1, 1913, by Julio Fernandez Medina, Anselmo Rendon Nicanor Grisales, and other people who came to live there. Restrepo became an official municipality on April 3, 1925.
The area around Restrepo is mostly mountainous. The main ways people make a living here are through farming and raising animals. Some of the most important crops grown in Restrepo are bananas, pineapples, sugarcane, beans, other fruits, vegetables, and corn.
