Reynolds is a small, quiet place in the western part of Dallas County, in the state of Missouri, USA. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government or mayor, unlike a town or city.

Where is Reynolds Located?

This little community is found about three miles west of the town of Buffalo. You can reach it by following Missouri Route 32. A small stream called Lindley Creek flows about half a mile to the east of Reynolds. If you travel about a mile north on a local road, you'll find the Reynolds Chapel and a cemetery.

The Story of Reynolds: History

Reynolds has a short but interesting history. It was named after an early settler in the area, a man named Mark Reynolds. For a few years, Reynolds even had its own post office! This post office opened in 1891 and served the community until 1897. After that, it closed down.
