Ricardo Cavalcante Ribeiro (born 23 February 1977) is a Brazilian football player. He played as a defender. Ricardo spent many years playing for different teams in Japan.
Ricardo's Football Journey
Ricardo started his professional football career in 1998. He first played for Centro Futebol Zico in Brazil. Soon after, he moved to Japan to play for Kashima Antlers.
Playing in Japan
Ricardo played for several Japanese clubs during his career. He was with Kashima Antlers from 1998 to 1999. After that, he joined Vegalta Sendai and stayed there for three seasons, from 2000 to 2002.
Moving to New Teams
In 2003, Ricardo moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He played for them for two years. Later, from 2005 to 2006, he was a part of Kyoto Purple Sanga. He helped these teams in their league matches and cup competitions.
Return to Brazil
After his time in Japan, Ricardo returned to Brazil. In 2007, he played for Juventude. His last known club was Joinville in 2008. Throughout his career, Ricardo played in many matches, showing his skills as a defender.
