Richard Darío Núñez Pereyra (born on February 16, 1976, in Montevideo, Uruguay) is a retired professional football player. He was known for playing as a striker, which means he was good at scoring goals. He also played as a playmaker, helping his team create scoring chances.

Richard Núñez's Football Journey
Richard Núñez began his football career in his home city of Montevideo, playing for a team called Danubio. He then moved to Europe in 2000. He joined Grasshopper Club Zürich in Switzerland. There, he became famous for scoring many goals and helping his teammates score too.
In January 2005, Richard moved to Spain to play for Atlético de Madrid. He played his first game for them on January 29, 2005.
Playing in Mexico
Richard Núñez started playing in Mexico on August 13, 2005. He joined the team Cruz Azul. In his very first game, he scored four goals, which was an amazing start! Later, he played for C.F. Pachuca. After doing well with Pachuca, he returned to Cruz Azul in May 2006.
On January 3, 2008, Richard moved to Club América, which was a rival team to Cruz Azul. He played his last game for América in a big tournament called the 2008 Copa Libertadores.
Returning to Uruguay
After his time in Mexico, Richard Núñez went back to Uruguay. In September 2008, he joined Peñarol. He continued his career playing for other Uruguayan clubs like Rampla Juniors and later returned to Danubio. He finished his playing career with Rampla Juniors.
