Richard Riehle (born May 12, 1948) is an American actor. He is known for playing many different types of characters in movies and TV shows. He played Walt Finnerty on the TV show Grounded for Life from 2001 to 2005. Richard Riehle has been in more than 200 films! Some of his well-known movies include The Fugitive (1993), Office Space (1999), and Wedding Crashers (2005).

Richard Riehle was born on May 12, 1948, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. His mother, Mary Margaret, was a nurse, and his father, Herbert John Riehle, was an assistant postmaster.
Richard went to the University of Notre Dame for his first degree. Later, he earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Minnesota. An MFA is a special degree for people who want to work in creative arts like acting.
He started acting in plays at the Meadow Brook Theatre in Rochester, Michigan. Before getting big movie roles, he performed in many local theaters. His very first movie part was in the John Wayne film Rooster Cogburn.
Richard Riehle has played the role of Santa Claus in many different projects. He has been Santa in five movies, two TV shows, and one TV movie!
