Richfield Center is a small place in Ohio, USA. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Richfield Township in Lucas County.
A Look Back: History of Richfield Center
Richfield Center has a short but interesting history. A post office first opened here in 1874. Back then, it was spelled "Richfield Centre."
The name was changed to "Richfield Center" in 1893. However, the post office didn't stay open for long and closed its doors in 1901.
The community gets its name from Richfield Township, where it is located. In 1910, about 111 people lived in Richfield Center.
