Richville's Past
Richville was first planned out in 1836. It started as a small settlement. A post office opened in Richville in 1872. This allowed people to send and receive mail easily. The post office stayed open for about 30 years, closing in 1902.
The Old School Building
There used to be a school in Richville called Richville Elementary School. In 1997, the school building was sold to a local church. The church later left the property. Efforts to sell the building again were difficult. This was partly because it would cost a lot to remove harmful materials like asbestos. The old school building was later taken down.
