Richwood is a town located in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, in the United States. It became an official town on December 31, 1974. Richwood is run by a mayor and a board of five elected members called "alder persons." They work together to provide important services for the people living in Richwood. These services include garbage collection, street maintenance, and keeping the drainage systems working. The town also handles other health and welfare services for its residents. In 2010, about 3,392 people lived in Richwood.
