Rio Communities is a city in New Mexico, United States. It is located in Valencia County. The community officially became a city on May 16, 2013. Before that, it was known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). In 2010, about 4,723 people lived in the area. By 2020, the population had grown to 4,926 residents.

Rio Communities is a small city with a unique history. It started as a community that wasn't officially a city. This changed in 2013 when it became an incorporated city. This means it now has its own local government.
