Risa Saraswati (born on February 24, 1985) is a talented Indonesian singer, songwriter, and author. She is known for her unique stories and music. Risa was once the lead singer of an indie pop band called Homogenic. Later, she started her own band, Sarasvati. She is also a very popular author, especially for her book Danur, which was even made into movies!

Music Career
Starting with Homogenic
Risa Saraswati loved music from her high school days. After finishing school, she became very serious about it. In 2002, Risa and her friend Dina Dellyana formed a band called Homogenic. Risa was the lead singer, and Dina played keyboards and created music.
Later, Grahadea Kusuf joined them, playing synth and helping with songs. This made Homogenic a trio. With Homogenic, Risa released two albums: Epic Symphony in 2004 and Echoes of the Universe in 2006.
Forming Sarasvati
After seven years, Risa left Homogenic in October 2009. She remained friends with her former bandmates. After leaving, she started her own band, Sarasvati. This new band plays a type of music called gospel. Sarasvati has released five studio albums. In 2017, Risa even reunited with HMGNC (the new name for Homogenic) for their fourth album.
Writing Career
Stories and Books
As a writer, Risa Saraswati is famous for her mystical stories. She often writes about things that are a bit spooky or mysterious. In January 2012, she released her first book, Danur. This book became very popular.
The success of Danur led to three movies being made based on the book. Risa even helped write the screenplays for these films. In January 2020, Risa published a children's story book called Jurnal Risa: Teror Liburan Sekolah.
Personal Life
Risa Saraswati married Dimas Tri "Dimasta" Adityo on February 15, 2019. They welcomed their first child, a son named Anaking Raga Janari, on January 15, 2020.
