Risa Saraswati (born 24 February 1985) is a talented Indonesian singer, songwriter, and author. She is known for her unique stories and music. Risa also works for the Department of Culture and Tourism in Bandung, West Java.
She was once the lead singer of an indie pop band called Homogenic. Later, she started her own band, Sarasvati. Risa is also famous for her best-selling book, Danur, which was even made into movies!

Risa's Musical Journey
Risa Saraswati loved music from a young age. She started getting serious about it after high school.
Starting with Homogenic
In 2002, Risa and her friend Dina Dellyana formed a band called Homogenic. Risa was the lead singer, and Dina played keyboards. Later, Grahadea Kusuf joined them, playing synth. The band became a trio.
With Homogenic, Risa helped create two albums: Epic Symphony in 2004 and Echoes of the Universe in 2006.
Forming Sarasvati
After seven years, Risa left Homogenic in 2009. But she stayed friends with her old bandmates! She then started her own band, Sarasvati. This band plays a type of music called gospel music.
Sarasvati has released five studio albums, sharing many new songs with their fans. Risa even reunited with HMGNC (the new name for Homogenic) in 2017 for their album.
Becoming a Writer
Risa Saraswati is also a very popular writer. She is well-known for her mystical and horror stories.
The Danur Series
In January 2012, Risa released her first book, Danur. It quickly became a best-seller! Because it was so popular, Danur was turned into three movies. Risa even helped write the movie scripts!
Writing for Young Readers
In January 2020, Risa published a special book for children. It's called Jurnal Risa: Teror Liburan Sekolah. This book shows her talent for writing stories that kids can enjoy.
Risa's Family Life
Risa Saraswati married Dimas Tri "Dimasta" Adityo on 15 February 2019. They welcomed their first child, a son named Anaking Raga Janari, on 15 January 2020.
