The Rivière des Saults is a river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Nicolet Southwest River. A river that flows into another river is called a tributary.
This river runs through several towns. These include Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover, Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, and Sainte-Brigitte-des-Saults. These towns are all in the Drummond Regional County Municipality (MRC). The river is located in the Centre-du-Québec region of Quebec.
Most of the river's path goes through farmland. Only the first 2.6 kilometers and the area near its end (mouth) are different.

Where Does the Rivière des Saults Start?
The Rivière des Saults begins where two smaller streams meet. This meeting point is in the eastern part of Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover.
Its source is about 2.0 kilometers north of Domaine-Despins. It is also 6.1 kilometers east of the center of Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover village.
The River's Journey
From its start, the Rivière des Saults flows for 24.1 kilometers. During its journey, the river drops 55 meters in height.
The first part of its journey is 11.7 kilometers long. It flows northwest through farmland in Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover. It crosses under Route 255, then turns west. It also passes under a railway bridge and Route 122, finally reaching Autoroute 20.
The next part of its journey is 12.4 kilometers long. It continues flowing northwest. It briefly enters the western part of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil. Then, it flows into Sainte-Brigitte-des-Saults.

The Rivière des Saults finishes its journey in the village of Sainte-Brigitte-des-Saults. It flows into the south bank of the Nicolet Southwest River.

The name "Rivière des Saults" was officially recognized on December 5, 1968. This was done by the Commission de toponymie du Québec. This commission is in charge of naming places in Quebec.
