Rizen is a popular gospel music group. They have won two Stellar Awards, which are big awards in gospel music! The group sings both classic and new gospel songs. Today, the members are Adriann Lewis-Freeman, Aundrea Lewis, Kanika Trigg, and Ashley Griffith.

How Rizen Started

The group Rizen first came together in 1997. They started making music that touched many hearts.

Albums and Awards

Rizen released their first CD, also called RiZen, in 2003. This album was a big hit! It featured Adriann and Aundrea Lewis, Kanika Trigg, and Ashley Jones. In 2004, the group won a Stellar Award for Best New Artist. This was a huge honor for them.

Their second CD, RiZen 2, came out in 2005. Ashley Griffith left the group for a short time. Adriann shared that this album was very personal for the girls. After RiZen 2 was released, Kanika Trigg also took a break. This left Rizen as a duo with just the Lewis sisters. Even as a duo, they kept winning! In 2006, Rizen won another Stellar Award. This time it was for Best Traditional Group/Duo.

In 2009, Rizen released their third CD, Free. Famous gospel artist Fred Hammond helped produce this album. Other talented producers like Aaron Lindsey and Daniel Weatherspoon also worked on it.

The Rizen Reunion

Good news for Rizen fans! All four original members are back together. They are calling their new performances "The RiZen Reunion Tour." They have been performing at many shows.

Rizen also released a new song called "He’ll Be There." Fans and radio stations loved it! The group is now working with DAF Entertainment Group and Tyscot Records. They are excited to release a new remix of their song "View The City" in 2023. Rizen is also writing and recording new music for future projects. Stay tuned for more!
