Robert Colman earned a special degree called a Doctor of Divinity from Oxford University. This degree meant he was very knowledgeable about religious studies. He lived and worked at a Franciscan monastery in a city called Norwich, in England.

His Writings

He was also a writer! Robert Colman wrote several books. These included collections of Sermons, which are religious speeches. He also wrote Sacred Lessons and A Book of Sundry Poems. People knew him for being a great speaker and a very smart person. They said he had "eloquence, erudition, wit, and judgment." This means he was good at speaking, very learned, clever, and made good decisions.
