Robert Cummings, born on September 20, 1969, is a former Australian rules football player. He played one game for the Fitzroy Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL) in 1990.
Before joining Fitzroy, Robert was recruited from the Central District Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He was first picked by the Hawthorn Hawks, but he did not play any senior games for them. In 1990, Fitzroy chose him with the 15th pick in the 1990 Preseason Draft.

Robert's great-grandfather was Joe Johnson. Joe was a very important player for Fitzroy. He is known for being the first Indigenous Australian to play in the Victorian Football League (VFL). The VFL later became what we know today as the AFL.
