Robert Villiers Grimston, 1st Baron Grimston of Westbury (born June 8, 1897 – died December 8, 1979) was a British politician. He was a member of the Conservative Party.

Life and Political Journey

Robert Grimston was the oldest son of Reverend Robert Grimston. His grandfather was James Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam. Robert went to school at Windlesham House School and Repton School. Later, he studied engineering at the City and Guilds Engineering College and the University of London.

Serving in World War I

During World War I, Robert Grimston joined the army in 1916. He was part of the Royal Garrison Artillery. He served in places like Thessaloniki and Palestine from 1916 to 1919.

Becoming a Member of Parliament

In 1931, Grimston was chosen to be a Member of Parliament (MP). He represented the area of Westbury in Wiltshire. He held this job for a long time, until 1964.
