Solo Music and His Own Label
In 1992, Robert Hood left Detroit and Underground Resistance. He teamed up with Jeff Mills to make new music. They released recordings together under names like H&M and X-103.
In 1994, Robert Hood started his own music label, M-Plant. He released an album called Minimal Nation. This album is seen as a big inspiration for the minimal techno music style.
Music with a Gospel Feel
Robert Hood had an idea to mix gospel music with other styles. These included house, disco, and techno music. His first song with this new sound was "We Magnify His Name." He released it under his project name, Floorplan.
In 2016, his daughter, Lyric Hood, joined him in the Floorplan project. They now make music together.
