Robert S. Molaro (born June 29, 1950 – died June 15, 2020) was an American politician. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Robert Molaro served in the government of Illinois. He was part of both the Illinois Senate and the Illinois House of Representatives.
Robert Molaro's Life and Career
Robert Molaro went to Loyola University. There, he earned a degree in business. Later, he studied law at John Marshall Law School. He became a lawyer.
In 1984, he was chosen as a Democratic Committeeman. This meant he helped lead the Democratic Party in Chicago's 12th ward. He also attended the 1988 Democratic National Convention. This was a big meeting where the Democratic Party chose its candidate for president.
Serving in the Illinois Government
In 1993, Robert Molaro was elected to the Illinois Senate. The Senate is one part of the Illinois General Assembly. This is the main law-making body for the state of Illinois.
Later, he was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives. This is the other part of the Illinois General Assembly. He worked to create and pass laws for the people of Illinois.
After leaving the state legislature in 2008, Molaro continued his work. He used his knowledge as an attorney. He also worked as an expert on important topics like pensions. Pensions are like savings plans for people after they stop working.
Robert Molaro passed away on June 15, 2020. He died from pancreatic cancer.
