Roberto Bodegas (born June 3, 1933 – died August 2, 2019) was a talented Spanish film director and screenwriter. He was known for creating movies and writing their stories. He directed 15 films during his career, starting in 1971.
His movie Spaniards in Paris, made in 1971, was a big deal. It was even shown at the 7th Moscow International Film Festival. This is a major film event where movies from all over the world are celebrated.

He won this award for his film Los nuevos españoles, which means "The New Spaniards". He shared this special award with his co-writers, José Luis Dibildos and José Luis Garci.
