Roberto Ciotti (born February 20, 1953 – died December 31, 2013) was a talented Italian musician. He was known as a blues guitarist and composer. Roberto created many songs and played his guitar for audiences around the world.

Roberto's Musical Journey

Roberto Ciotti was born in Rome, Italy. He started playing the guitar when he was only 12 years old. This was the beginning of his long and successful music career.

From 1970 to 1972, Roberto played in a jazz band called Blue Morning. After that, he decided to become a solo artist. He focused on blues music, writing his own songs, and playing guitar professionally. He even worked with famous musicians like Chet Baker, Francesco De Gregori, and Edoardo Bennato.

Roberto released his first album, Supergasoline Blues, in 1978. Two years later, in 1980, he had a big opportunity. He opened the concerts for the legendary Bob Marley when Bob Marley toured Italy.

In 1989, Roberto became very popular for his music in the movie Marrakech Express. This film was directed by Gabriele Salvatores. Roberto worked with Salvatores again two years later for the movie On Tour. His music for these films was a big success.

After his 2002 album Behind the Door, Roberto spent most of his time playing live concerts. He loved performing for people. In 2006, he wrote a book about his life called Unplugged. In the book, he shared how challenging it was to stay true to blues music. He explained that he always wanted to make music he believed in, without just chasing fame or money.

Roberto Ciotti passed away on December 31, 2013, at the age of 60. He had been ill for some time. He left behind a wonderful legacy of blues music.
