The Story of Rochester
Rochester was first planned and settled in 1841. This is when people decided where the streets and buildings would be.
For a long time, Rochester had its own post office. This post office was opened in 1851, but it had a different name: Nobleville. The Nobleville post office helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years, until it closed down in 1904.
