Rociada is a small community found in San Miguel County, New Mexico, in the United States. It is located about 27 miles northwest of Las Vegas, which is the main town of the county.
The name Rociada comes from a Spanish word that means "sprinkled with dew." This name fits the area well because it often has a mild and moist summer climate. This is different from many other parts of Northern New Mexico, which can be very hot and dry.

Some interesting people have connections to Rociada:
- Antonia Apodaca (1923–2020) was a talented musician and songwriter. She was born and grew up right here in Rociada.
- José A. Baca (1876–1924) was an important political figure. He served as the 5th Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico. This role is similar to a vice-president for the state. He and his wife, Marguerite Pendaries Baca (1876–1971), owned a large ranch near Rociada. Marguerite was also important, serving as the 6th Secretary of State of New Mexico. The Secretary of State helps manage elections and keep official state records.
