Rockdale is a small place in Boyd County, Kentucky, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government.
Rockdale is located south of Ashland. It sits along the Midland Trail, which was once part of U.S. Route 60. This road meets Kentucky Route 538 here, leading into Ashland. For a long time, Rockdale was mostly countryside. But in the 1970s, many new homes were built there.
