Roderick Scott (born December 27, 1965) is a former Canadian soccer player and coach. He played as a striker, scoring many goals for his teams. Scott was known for his skills in both indoor and outdoor soccer.

Playing Career Highlights
College Soccer Journey
Roderick Scott went to the University of Akron on a special soccer scholarship. A scout saw him playing for Canada's U-19 national team and offered him a spot. He played for the Akron Zips soccer team from 1985 to 1988.
In 1986, his team, the Zips, made it to the NCAA championship game. They played against Duke University but lost. In his last year of college, he was named a third team All-American. This means he was one of the best college players in the country. He finished college in 1990. In 2008, he was honored by being added to the Akron Sports Hall of Fame.
Professional Indoor Soccer
In 1989, Roderick Scott began his professional career. The Dallas Sidekicks picked him in the draft for the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). He played for the Sidekicks until 1992. That year, he was named a first team All-Star, showing he was one of the best players in the league.
In 1993, the Sidekicks team moved to a new league called the Continental Indoor Soccer League. In 1994, Scott joined a new team, the Las Vegas Dustdevils. Sadly, he got a serious knee injury that year, which ended his playing career. Even with his injury, the Dustdevils won the CISL championship that season. He also played for the Kitchener team in the Canadian Soccer League.
Representing Canada
Roderick Scott also played for the Canadian national team. He played his first game for Canada in March 1993 against the USA. He played a total of 5 games for his country, but he did not score any goals.
He was part of Canada's team for the 1993 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament. His final game for Canada was a tough 8–0 loss to Mexico during that tournament.
Life as a Coach
After his playing career ended, Roderick Scott became a coach. In 1996, he worked as an assistant coach for his former team, the Dallas Sidekicks. In 2001, he joined the Dallas Texans Soccer Club as a staff coach. He has also coached a team called Soccer Studio in the Premier Arena Soccer League.
