Rodney Cooper, born on March 20, 1993, is an American who used to play professional basketball. He played for teams like the Maine Red Claws in the NBA G League. Before turning pro, he played college basketball for the University of Alabama.

Playing College Basketball
After finishing high school, Rodney went to the University of Alabama. He played basketball there from 2011 to 2015. In his final year, he scored about 11 points and grabbed almost 4 rebounds per game. Throughout his college career, he scored a total of 1,122 points. He was also named Alabama's best defensive player.
Playing Professional Basketball
Rodney Cooper was not chosen in the 2015 NBA draft. However, he still started his professional basketball journey.
Starting in Hungary and Mexico
In August 2015, Rodney signed with a team called Soproni KC in Hungary. He was one of eight new players in that league. Later in 2015, he joined Gigantes del Estado de México in Mexico. In his first three games there, he averaged 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Playing in the NBA G League
In December 2016, Rodney joined the Maine Red Claws. This team is part of the NBA Development League, now known as the NBA G League. He played his first game with them on December 1, 2016. The Red Claws won that game against the Erie BayHawks. In 2018, Rodney was chosen in the G League Draft by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. This team is connected to the Houston Rockets.

Rodney's parents are Richard and Rosemary Cooper. He studied Business Marketing at the University of Alabama.
In July 2022, Rodney started his own company called VitaEra. This company makes powdered mixes that help people stay hydrated. He has worked with the Birmingham Bulls hockey team. He also partners with several high schools in Alabama to provide them with his hydration drinks.
