Ronald "Ron" Siler Jr. (born April 8, 1980) is an American former amateur boxer. He represented the United States at the 2004 Olympics. Today, he works as a boxing coach at the Cincinnati Golden Gloves gym, helping new boxers learn the sport.

Early Life and Start in Boxing
Ron Siler grew up in the Over-the-Rhine area of Cincinnati. He is one of ten children. He faced challenges growing up, as his mother joined the Army when he was a baby and they lost touch. His father also faced difficulties.
Ron started boxing when he was just 7 years old. He almost gave up after losing his first three fights. But he kept going, and his powerful punching style helped him win his next 50 matches!
Amateur Boxing Career
Ron Siler had a very successful amateur boxing career. Before 2001, he competed in the light flyweight division. He won the United States championships in 1998, defeating Jose Navarro. In 1998 and 1999, he had five losses to Brian Viloria, who later became a world champion. He also lost to Maikro Romero in the first round at the Pan American Games. He bounced back to win the National Golden Gloves in 2000. However, at the Olympic trials, he lost to Nonito Donaire and his brother Glenn Donaire.
After Viloria became a professional boxer, 2001 was a great year for Ron. He won the US championships again and earned a Bronze medal at the World Championships. There, he lost to Yan Bartelemí. At the Goodwill Games, he showed his skill by beating Romanian boxer Marian Velicu with a score of 17-6 in the semifinals. In the final, he defeated Russian boxer Sergey Kazakov 17-9, earning a gold medal.
Later, as a flyweight, he won the National Golden Gloves in 2002. At the World Cup, he lost to Somjit Jongjohor.
He won the National Golden Gloves again in 2003 and the US championships in 2004.
Ron qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games by finishing first at a special tournament in Tijuana, Mexico. At the 2004 Athens Olympics, he represented the United States as a flyweight. He won his first fight but lost in the second round to Tulashboy Doniyorov from Uzbekistan. His results were:
