Ronela Hajati, known to many as simply Ronela, is a talented singer, songwriter, and dancer from Albania. She was born in Tirana on September 2, 1989. From a young age, Ronela loved to perform. She took part in many singing and dancing shows as a child. She is known for being able to sing different styles of music. In 2021, Ronela won a big music competition called Festivali i Këngës. This win meant she would represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Ronela's Early Life and Music Journey

Ronela Hajati was born in Tirana, Albania, on September 2, 1989. Her mother was from Korçë, and her father, Marash Hajati, was from Shkodër. Ronela showed a strong interest in music from a very young age. She learned to play the piano and studied ballet when she was in elementary school.

She also loved to sing and dance. Ronela participated in many Albanian singing and dancing competitions. She continued her early career by performing at various music events. These included popular shows like Top Fest and Kënga Magjike.

Ronela became very well-known in Albania and nearby areas in May 2013. This happened after she released her popular song "Mala Gata." Later in 2013, she took part in Kënga Magjike again. Her song "Mos ma lsho" won her the Internet Award in the final show.

In December 2015, Ronela released "A do si kjo." This song became quite popular in Albania. Another song, "Marre," followed in June 2016 and also did very well.

Between 2017 and 2018, Ronela released four more successful songs. These included "Mos ik," "Sonte," "Maje men," and "Do ta luj." All these songs were popular in Albania. In December 2018, she competed in Kënga Magjike once more. Her song "Vuj" helped her finish in fourth place.

After a short break, Ronela released "Pa dashni" in March 2019. This song quickly became a top hit in Albania. In June 2019, she worked with Albanian rapper Don Phenom on the song "Çohu." This song also became very popular. Later that year, in September 2019, Ronela had her first number-one song called "MVP." In July 2020, a football club called KF Tirana asked Ronela to create their team song. She produced and performed "Bardh' e blu" to celebrate the club's 100th birthday.

RRON Album and Eurovision Experience

In March 2021, Ronela Hajati announced her first full music album, which she named RRON. The first song from the album, "Prologue," was released in the same month. It quickly became a top song in Albania. The second song, "Shumë i mirë," was nominated for an award in Montenegro.

Another song from the album, "Aventura," came out in May 2021. It reached number three in Albania. In June 2021, Ronela worked with musician Vig Poppa on the song "Alo." This song also became a top hit. The song "Leje," released in October 2021, was also very popular.

In November 2021, Albania's national TV station, Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH), announced that Ronela was chosen to compete. She was one of 20 artists in the 60th edition of Festivali i Këngës. Her song for the competition was "Sekret."

During the grand final in December 2021, Ronela won the competition! This meant she would represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The contest took place in Turin, Italy. Ronela performed "Sekret" in the first semi-final on May 10, 2022. Even though many people liked her song, she did not make it to the final. She finished in 12th place. After Eurovision, her song became popular in some other countries, including Greece.

In February 2023, Ronela was chosen to compete in another Eurovision selection show. This was for San Marino's Eurovision entry in 2023. The show was called Una voce per San Marino. She sang a Spanish song called "Salvaje." Ronela made it to the final round but did not finish in the top 10.
