Ronnie Masterson (born April 4, 1926 – died February 10, 2014) was a talented Irish actress. She was well-known for her work on stage, television, and in films. Ronnie was born in Dublin, Ireland, and had a long career in acting.

Early Life and Stage Work

Ronnie Masterson grew up in Dublin. She learned how to act at the famous Abbey Theatre. Her first time on stage there was in 1944. At the Abbey Theatre, she met fellow actor Ray McAnally. They got married in 1951 and had four children together: Conor, Aonghus, Máire, and Niamh.

Ronnie and Ray also started their own theater company. It was called Old Quay Productions. They put on many different plays. Some of these plays included Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Odd Couple.

Acting on Screen and Stage

Ronnie Masterson performed at big events like the Edinburgh International Festival. She also acted in many shows during the Dublin Theatre Festival. She appeared on popular TV channels. These included RTÉ in Ireland, the BBC in the UK, and ITV.

Ronnie also traveled a lot in the United States. She performed her own special one-woman shows there. Her first movie role was in 1988. She played a character named Bridie in the film The Dawning.

In 2005, Ronnie went back to the United States. She took the main role in a short film called The Sea Captain. Her son, Conor McAnally, who is a TV producer, directed this film.
